Keeping myself busy!!!!!!

I love the idea of crafts. But mostly they don't ever work out as planned.

I have also learned something about myself and anxiety. And I did a little Googling and Google said it was true too.

I get anxiety at the thought of not having anything to do. Not like house work but at night when I want to relax I noticed I get anxiety if I have nothing to work on. I have always scrapbooked or work on something and I get anxiety when I have nothing to work on. Weird!

But google actually said keeping busy on projects and stuff can lesson anxiety!

So anyway.....I saw these crafts at the craft store and I made them!!!!! I thought they turned out dang cute.

I just mod podged some paper on some wood...

And painted the letters...

Cute, right????

So when our big girls left for college and mission they sort of lost their rooms. And they aren't going to be back permanently enough to give their rooms back. And we don't really have extra rooms. And they sleep in super small rooms at college so I figured they would be use to it so I made them a cute little room out of a VERY unfinished room. So...it is what it is. Unfinished. But I think I made it really cute anyway.

I bought this extra bed and hung up this shelf I had and decorated them each a shelf top and put their stuff out.

Justine loves dream catchers. I think we have one in every bedroom becasue of her. Rhett actually made me one at school. It has this bloody shark on it. Hahahah. Sweet dreams!

The enormous shoe shelf! I know it's ugly but it works.

Apparently Ohio has a lot of flying pig things there??? They must be popular because they had them at our craft store....

This is the top of Justine's shelf...She wanted her to look like camping... I adore her Peace, Love, S'mores.

I ordered this print off of Etsy and I spray painted this frame turquoise and I thought it turned out so cute. I feel like when Kassidy gets home she will be homesick for her mission and I want her to have some pretty things to remind her. I don't know.

Bo and Kate got reading glasses!!!! I had to bribe Bo to let me take a picture, I am not sure how often he will wear them.

Kate is such a strong little spirit. She wouldn't even let me suggest a pair. So she literally picked her pair out with the sales clerk and I never even saw them. But they look super cute on her! Good choice, Kate!

A few things we got done around here.

Take some selfies...

Plant some peas all by herself becasue Mom couldn't stay and help her....

(Later I found the package of peas abandoned. I think she might have got about 10 seeds in. But cute little girlie gave it a try.)

Try to fix the 24 year old car AGAIN. Corey was attached to it. He would not LET IT DIE. I finally got stern with him and told him to LET IT GO. He did everything he could for him.

So he let it go for scrap metal. I know he shed a tear.

And bought himself this shiny thing.

My dad came over and installed my other salt and pepper shaker collection shelf. I adore them. Justine insisted that was it! I could no go around any more of the kitchen becasue it would look like an old lady's house with collectibles everywhere. But I really want to.

Come on! They look so cute, right? Thanks, Dad!

Combed out and styled some crazy knotty dolls hair. Kate and I played barber shop and I styled them all.

Creepied out a little over Kate's choice of wall decoration. She has had old Harry Potter taped to her wall for more than a year now. Bahahahah.

Cleaned Kate's room AGAIN and got all her lovies organized and off the bed.

Of course, folding of never ending laundry...

And a few things we don't get done becasue they have to be done like every hour!.....

My cute friend gave me these flowers for my birthday. They were so pretty and crazy! I think they had like some sort of flower paint splattered all over them!!!! They are still alive and so pretty and cheerful!

All out of titles.

So remember I told you about the craft I spent 20 dollars to buy the supplies to make becasue I didn't want to buy one for etsy for 12.00...

Well today was probably my last sit around guilt free day. Next week the Dr. said I can go back to real life to the extent my body is able to.

So I decided to work on this little project. I don't even know what is so cute about them. They are all over Pinterest as well.

I just want Kassidy to have some special things to come home to that our missionaryish. I have a few ideas so I will share them as I get them done.

So here is how I started...

Each picture has some more detail

It's totally not that great of a paint job. It's hard! I didn't really create the idea either. I copied it from a picture I saw. Which is probably bad....? I added the necklace myself.

Justine and I kept cracking up becasue something about it really DOES look like Kassidy.

Justine made me some belated birthday cupcakes. Little cutie.

I feel bad about Jack Bauer. Why can't they just let him go on the plane with his granddaughter! Why do they keep having to pull the poor guy back in!

My parents took me to Sizzler for  my birthday lunch. It was fun to chat with them for a few hours. I seriously have gained weight since I got out of the hospital. I am making up for starving for three days. Why does it have to be so hard! Why does food matter so much? I use to help myself by saying to myself..."It's just food!!!!!" That actually helped a lot.

When I saw my Dr. last he told me I still had a lot of fluid and a lot of swelling. So that is good becasue I can barely wear the pants I was wearing before. I haven't really changed sizes. I just got rid of the loose skin. You would think that would make me change sizes but it hasn't. I don't know if that will change or not. They say it will.

I LOVE anything I can make in the crock pot. I'll tell you what I made today in case you ever want to make it.

I just put chicken breasts in the crock pot in the morning and let it cook all day so it was so soft and shredded super easy.  Then a few hours before dinner I drained the liquid and added a jar of salsa, a can of black beans, and a can or drained corn. Then we just had it over tortilla chips with cheese, olives, sour cream, and Justine's homemade guacamole (she is becoming an expert at making it!). She got a raise at her job and is now the cook for the day care! Cracks me up but she does a great job according to her boss and it might look good on a resume since she is deciding to do something with nutrition for her career.

All right, more tomorrow I am sure.

Hello, my old friend.

It's been about six months since I have seen your face. I decided today that I needed you again, back in my life. School is all but a mi...
