Justine's Birfday

Justine is such a sweet girl. And for some crazy reason she has come to adore all things Indianish. I think it is because I bought her all the seasons of Dr. Quinn and she has watched them NON STOP for years.

So she REALLY wanted a Indian cake somehow. This is her last fancy cake from me so I had to do whatever she wanted. I scoured pinterest and compiled my favorite ideas. I think it was a success! And she really loved it and it was so worth it to see her sincere reaction to how much she liked it. It was almost in awe. Ha ha!

The one thing Justine HAD to have was all 18 of her candles in the fire pit. It was great. They made quite the flame! It was AWESOME.

I love this of Kate blowing out her candles too.

So Kate had all of these presents for Justine. Just random little stuff.

But one of the presents was this card. Kate is a little traumatized that one big sister left her. Now the thought of Justine leaving her had got her even more upset. She said in the is card, "I will miss you"...

And then she drew her and Justine with two very sad faces. It seriously made Justine so so sad.

Justine got all college stuff.  So exciting!

This is her year for a party as well. her last one.

And she requested that we as a family go wonder around Jackson Hole Wyoming and look at all the shops. So when it gets warmer, we are going to do that.

So my voice is still stronger. Not completely better but very much improved.

I am struggling greatly with my food issues. So sad. I sort of believe it is because I have cut back on therapy. I think for a while that was of such comfort to me and now that I am cutting back on it I am going back to my other comfort.

You know what keeps NEVER happening? I keep NEVER turning to God. And I think that is why I keep NEVER getting fully better from all this stuff.

I had a really sincerely sweet experience with someone teaching me about God. I will share next time.

For now, homework.

Kate's Happy Birthday!

Becsasue I am tired I am serperating the girl's birthday's for the blog. They celebrated together though at Grandma's with presents and cake and icecream.

I m not sure why bit this was one of my favorite cakes. I just thought it was so bright and cute. Kate was annoyed because she wanted me to make her a One Direction boy and I made her have a rainbow. Lol. I asked her if she wanted a rainbow and she said yes, But then her story changed.

She is a strong willed little thing. I seriously feel like it is Kassidy ALL over again. I have more hope this time because Kassidy and I get along just fine so I hope she and I will too.

She wanted to put her own candles in. Her daddy bought her these swirly candles.

Justine and Kate's presents.

Checking out the pooping dog.

This Lion has been the best present ever. She carries it around non stop loving on it. Worth every cent.

Nathan and her fascinated by the pooping dog. She played all night with it cleaning up his poops with the pooper scooper. It was so funny.

This was Kate's year for her first birthday party.

I got it in my head that decorating sugar cookies would be a good plan for the party kids to do as an activity. The they could eat their cookies.

So here is Kate getting the cookies ready. She and I worked on them together and it was a good project for us to do together.

While Kate was at her basket ball game, Justine decorated the house for her.

This K is special because Bo made it just for her.

I feel sad not to post the birthday pictures but I want to respect the little kids whose parent might not want them blogged. But the high light of the party was all the kids getting a chance to hold the parakeet, Zane. The little girls LOVED that.

And the girls spent a very long time decorating the sugar cookies. They loved it!

They got to take their plate home of their cookies.

We also played a game called spin the nail polish. A little girl would spin the bottle and it would land on a color of nail polish. Then we would paint one nail with that color. They seemed to love it.

It was a short, sweet party. Very manageable. I usually go overboard so I was proud of myself.

Kate was given one of these crafts where you scrape the black off and make a design. (Thanks, Tiffany) Justine and Rhett loved it!!! Justine actually spent hours sitting here making designs.

Pretty good, huh? We teased Justine...Can Kate have a turn to play with her toys???

This is EXACTLY how I feel about camping!

What the what???? Did you know that you can only taste five tastes???? The rest is just coming from what you smell!

I am blown away. I don't even know I for reals believe it.

My biology teacher is the funnest ever. I just really like him. He is VERY amusing. He makes Biology so interesting. And I love it when we start talking about something and then it goes from us asking question after question about why this and why that. And we act like he is supposed to know everything. And he is very kinds and patient trying to answer all the random questions we have.

Every day practically we have a quiz so that we will be studying constantly. And Brother (church school, we call him Brother) Wray brings in a bag with candy in it. He does a game such as...if a class mate chooses a purple candy we have a real quiz. And if they choose a green candy we have a a bonus quiz which is just like extra credit. But he often puts in a lot more of the color that makes it a real quiz.

So today when the class mate chose the color that made our quiz a bonus...You would have thought we had each won a million dollars. We all were so excited and even Brother Wray was pretty amused at our excitement level.

We had a massive lab test today. We had to know bones, heart parts, cavities, muscles, blood, I don't even know anymore. All I know tonight is I successfully know if a skull belongs to a man or a woman!
Cause I am cool like that!

Back to the taste thing...so apparently you only taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and scientist figured out another one... umami. Go figure. So if you have a grape jolly rancher or a apple jolly rancher your taste buds can only taste sweet. But you nose smells! And that is how you know the flavor. WHAT?????? Yes. For reals.

Yesterday I had my little throat surgery procedure. They stretched out my esophagus and were suppose to cut a little something off. But I can't quite remember if that happened or not. Can I just say....Um...I really like that medicine they give you that knocks you out. Like really. I was super happy and super friendly when I woke up. And I talked a lot. Corey kept trying to convince me they were all winking at him like "she is totally out of it" but I didn't believe him. I am starting to think it was maybe true.

My voice feels stronger and I keep having people tell me it sounds better. The Dr. said what they were doing to me would have zero affect on my voice, so who knows what is up with that.

Bo is STILL obsessed with Pokemon cards.

And Brody is still very naughty.

Did you know... Stomach Acid DOES NOT DIGEST!!!!! Enzymes do!

When I first started school I really just wanted to do online so I could still be home. But the online classes are SO much busy work.

And I learned I really love going up to the college and the half hour driving time is really a blessing to me because I get to sing to music and be alone.

And it has been essential to have study groups with Ben the tutor for this hard Biology class. And um....it has been totally fun.

Rhonda is going to school later in life like me. She is darn smart!

And my kid met us once so that totally counts as mother daughter time.

I bought her dinner and she studied her stuff and I studied mine with my class mates. Isn't that the coolest? I love that we are together sometimes. And next semester Justine will be!

We were learning the blood flow of the heart. Even though I scored low on my test, I got that one down! Come to find out my other class mate who I thought knew the material so well also socred fairly low. :( Such a killer hard class.

Ben out tutor. He grades our papers. We have him convinced he likes our group the best.

This kid is cute and funny. He wants to be a social worker and go into adoption.

He practiced the blood flow on the heart Reeses peanut butter cup.

It reminded me of this funny quote.

That is what I did that night at "study" group. And I loved it.

My new friend, she LOVES the "Dog" as well. Such cute kids. I forget I am like 20 years older than them all. They have such enormous potential.

Learning about blood types. Tutor Ben  teaches us and then we teach each other.

I am leaning that I love learning and I didn't learn a thing in High school or my first go around in college. (no wait, I learned a dang lot about horses. No lie. I got an A+ in pack and outfitting.) But I just hope I can pass this class. I had high hopes for a A. Now I am hoping to get a C- or I have to take it again. Grr. I feel dumb. Other people pass it with A, why am I doing so poorly!

Hello, my old friend.

It's been about six months since I have seen your face. I decided today that I needed you again, back in my life. School is all but a mi...
